Garei The Picture Ghost

Garei-The Picture Ghost-
Good evening my dear friends & followers I hope you enjoy the music I have added a few new pic's to my music box. I always have a check on it now and then to make such none of the music has been taken off. It does happen more often then not. And I do check on my video's post once a month because I know that I find a few of the video's taken off and I always try to either replace or at least take off the ones that are not in use. So I do care for you all and keep up the blog my dears. Its getting close to video check so I will have to take a day for that...
For a few more posts before the month of June is out, I thought you might like the legend of the
Garei -the Picture Ghost... It is a very old Urban legend I believe from Japan... Sadly I could only find one drawing of the legend of the Garei the Picture Ghost...
The tale was told in ancient times a very long time ago, when there was a dilapidated folding screen with the portrait of a woman holding her infant child. The screen was the property of the
Kanju-ji-temple in Kyoto, where it was kept buried away in a storehouse. One day there was a request that came from a retainer of the Samurai Honamiden to borrow the dilapidated folding screen with the portrait of a woman holding her infant child upon it. Sadly on the part of the Samurai, he thought is was nothing more than a worthless nuisance, however the temple was only too happy to comply with the request. The priests sent Honamiden to retrieve the screen from the old storehouse with all due haste. Even though the folding screen was very old and neglected, the painting upon it was still very beautiful & Honamiden proudly put the Folding screen on display in his home. Not knowing the history behind the mysterious woman and her young infant within the  painted, Honamiden had no idea that he would have ghostly happening that very night he brought it into his home. But that very night, there were many reports stated coming from a mysterious woman who appeared in the vicinity of Honamiden's manor. The woman was quite beautiful and was reported as carrying a small infant child. The unknown woman appeared every single night & she wandered on the grounds of the manor. Finally, Honamiden had one of his servants follow the woman, to see what the ghost does? He watched the ghostly woman as she entered his home, and gasped as she suddenly disappeared while standing in front of the ancient screen painting.
Upon seeing this, Honamiden returned the screen to Kanju-ji as quickly as possible, mentioning
nothing of the mysterious woman or the incident that he just saw.
A beautiful picture was one thing, but he didn't need to attract strange spirits too.
Now, that same mysterious woman began to appear around the Kanju-ji temple.
Suspecting the painting was the origin of this apparition, a clever servant place a piece of paper over the head of the woman in the painting, hoping it would stop the strange ghostly spirits too.
Well, that evening when the ghostly woman was seen her head was covered by pieces of paper this time. So it work to some extend.
So Kanju-ji assembled some artists to investigate the painting, to see what is going on with this spiritual screen ghostly woman that comes out of it at night. The artists all agree it was the work of the artist Tosa Mitsuoki , very important work at that time.
Sadly the artist Tosa Mitsuoki was dead, and there was no way of knowing the history behind the woman in the painting, but the artist all agreed that it was a shame that such a valuable painting was allowed to degenerate to such poor conditions.
Once it was heard, that Kanju-ji had the screen commissioned to be restored to its former condition and then properly displayed, the mysterious woman never appeared again.
As far as this tale Garei the Picture Ghost, some have said it comes from the Fujiwara Ietaka's Monogatari-落栗物語-Tales of Fallen Chestnuts, is thought to be written sometime in the 1820's.
This tale of the Garei the Picture Ghost is build on the idea that certain works or craftsman are able to infuse some of their own soul into their art. And their art takes on a life force of it own...
This tale serves as a cautionary from the artist with a definite moral too! treat your works of art with respect, or they will come out and haunt you to the end of your times. Which probably is what happened to Tosa Mitsuoki ,the artist who did the painting originally. Tosa might have been  haunted by his painting so he tried to hide his painting, by buried it away in a very old storehouse so no one would ever find it. No one will ever know if it work or if the artist was haunted to death by the beautiful woman in the painting. Yokai researcher, Oda Kokki identified the Garei-Picture Ghost as a type of Tsukumogami.
Which is a belief in Japan that household objects can gain life after 100years. It is said that the Tsukumogami spirit will slowly gain life as human's infuse them with small pieces of their motive energy over the century. They tend to be house hold objects like that of a tools, instruments, containers etc... I did a post on the Japanese Tsukumogami-Spirit if you would like to check It out just check out this link - http://wendyjargonncom.blogspot.com/2016/06/japanesetsukumogami-spirit.html

This way you don't have to go to my labels to look for it...
I hope that you all enjoyed another urban legend of Japan, I love them myself... I hope you all have a lovely evening ...
Good night for now..love you all my dears Wendy🎶🎶❤💖💖💖☺☺😁😁😛💖💖💖

Historical Probability of a White Christmas

Historical the Probability of
More White Christmas in the US
Maybe back in 2010-16years ago?
Hello my dear friends & followers as to climate change, some say there will be more historically
White Christmas in the US. Others feel that there will be more rain! At any rate were embarking on an new & permitted weather changes due to Climate change. This has been happening for the last 10+years. Even though December in the US has been warm for the eastern folks of the US., many people still dream of a White Christmas. Even myself, here in the northern pacific near Canada.  I haven't see a white Christmas since my son was between 10-12years old, he's now 16 years old that's a long time with no snow and just very heavy rain.
They are saying the dream is looking like it will become a reality for some to a series of storms
combined with a persistent chill. This is what the Weather Scientist say, but I have a hard time believing this. since we haven't since snow in Washington state since 2010.
The graphic that is shown is probability based on the 1981-2010 climatological normal. So as I said things have changed quite a lot for the last 16years. As to snow verse rain. It is not surprising that there is low chance of a White Christmas in many area's of the US.
Check out the odds of a white Christmas in your city:

Great Graph that I got from climatecental.org
hope that you enjoyed the imforitive post on climate change
and the graphic that are kindly from climatecental.org How this one
works is you pick your city then click go it will bring you
to another page to show you the relults.
I hope that all of these climate change post don't turn you off
from me I am just trying to do my part to help the planet.

Michael Jackson Tribute 7th Anniversary of his passing in 2009

Michael Jackson Tribute
On his 7th Anniversary of his passing
On June 25,2009-
Well, my dearest friends and followers I am sorry that I missed a day on Michael Jacksons Anniversary of his passing. I do miss him so much. He was my first Icon of music and a awesome dancer when I was a kid back in the day. Not that either David Bowie or Prince aren't , they are always on my mind too. Its just Michael I kinda grew-up with and had a school girl crush on for so many years even to the day he pasted. I watch Michael as a small boy then turn into a beautiful and very handsome & talented man of music/dance/movies/video's and so much more. A humanitarian as he got older with wonderful video's and speech's on trying to do his part to save this world. I love his videos that were on humanitarian  like that of - Heal the World  The Earth Song
Cry  Black and White   They Don't Care About Us  USA For Africa-We are the World  Michael was truly trying to help the world through his music and his video's. These are just a few links to Michael and his music. of healing.
Besides my own personal tribute to Michael, his beloved family who loves and has lost a son, bother, uncle and father morns the death of their Beloved Michael's kind hearted soul. He was honored by his Daughter Paris & his Brother on this 7th Anniversary of his death with music and beautiful words and photos from his Daughter.
Michael died on June 25, 2009 at age 50 at his home in Los Angeles. Its hard for me to believe that its been almost 10years. At least I know in my heart that he is happy in heaven and known one can ever hurt him ever again. He had such a big heart and soul of love and caring for all people and animals too. That most of the world didn't see that. Even now in death his family is still having to fight for his humanity on stupid stuff that has already been resolved in courts. That is where the song and video came from call
'Leave me a lone'

Back in April, Michaels Daughter Pairs celebrated her 18th birthday, by getting a tattoo
to honor her dad. And this is what Paris had to say about that, 'To everyone else he was the king of Pop. To me, well, he was the king of my heart,' she captioned a photo of the new ink.
One month later, Pairs went to get another tattoo in honor of her Dad, which was part of the illustration from Michael's 1991 Dangerous album.
On Saturday his beloved daughter took to Instagram to pay tribute to her father, by sharing a beautiful black-white collage that featured three photos, two real snapshots and the other was a Photo-shop image of what the two might look like today if her father was alive today with his Daughter Paris. On the Instagram Paris writes,'7 years, rest in peace, my best friend in the entire universe. I love you more than anything.'
'Things may be a little s----y in the press right now but everyone knows its all bull and I swear on the
family name
I will protect you for as long as I live,' she added, calling out on a recent reports in the news. I am not going to say what it is because its all bull shit as Paris said. There is no one like you and there will never will be again. thank you for touching millions of hearts, but especially my own said his daughter Paris... And I say thank you too Michael for touching so many billions of hearts around the world. People who truly love you like myself don't believe any of the crap the reporters are trying to do to you even in death. You will always be the King of Pop and a wonderful humanitarian. Always trying to save the world with your kind words of song, video's and lyric's too.
On Friday Michael was also honored in San Diego County Fair in Del Mar, California with a very special performance by the Jackson 5
his brothers-Jermaine, Titi, Jackie, and Marlon Jackson.
All took the stage to sing a few of their hits, including 'One More Chance'
along with Michael's 'Wanna Be Startin Somethin'.

In June 25, 2009, the music world stopped spinning when the news broke of the death of
Michael Jackson.Jackson's unparalleled place in the music history was quickly solidified as millions of fans around the world mourned the loss. Including myself 😩 The GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles subsequently sprang into action with the unveiling of the special exhibit, for Michael Jackson.
A Musical Legacy, which served as a follow-up to the Michael Jackson: His Style exhibit that opened in February of that year.
Then on the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards in 2010, Grammy winner Smokey Robinson, Celine Dion, Carrie Underwood, Usher and Jennifer Hudson teamed for an all-star 3-D rendition of  the Earth Song in tribute to Michael. Who that year was honored posthumously with a Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. Michael having more than 75+million of albums sold in just the US, Jackson ranks No. 7 on the RIAA's list of top-selling artists of all time. As we approach the five-year anniversary of his death, we look back on 10 royal achievements that Michael the King of Pop has made.
1970: First Four No. 1 Hits:
Jackson make history with his brothers in the Jackson 5 when they became the first group in pop history to have their first four single hit No. 1 The songs were 'I Want You Back,'  I'll Be There, 'The Love You Save', and 'ABC.' The latter earned the Jackson 5 their first GRAMMY nomination for Best Contemporary Vocal Performance By a Duo, Group or Chorus.
I WANT YOU BACK    I'll Be There     ABC    THE LOVE YOU SAVE     BEN
1982: Thriller is Released:
The Thriller WoW! great album! love this one all of his albums. Following the release of his 1979 hit album Off the Wall , Michael released Thriller on November 30, 1982. Both his albums were inducted into the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame in 2008, but Thriller is widely considered Michael's most successful album. The reasons for its success could be that the co-producer is Quincy Jones along with Michael Jackson as the producer of the album. The landmark album became the first album to generate seven top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100.
With sales of over 29 million copies, Thriller is tied with the Eagles' Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 as the best-selling album of all time according to the RIAA.
BAD
1983: The Moonwalk:
Michael debuted what would become his signature dance move, the moonwalk, during a
performance of 'Billie Jean' on May 16, 1983 TV special 'Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever' in Celebration of the label's 25th anniversary.
Later that year, on Dec. 2 1983 Michael changed the music video world for good when he
released the music video for "Thriller." It was nearly a 14minute epic unlimited of the possibilities of new ways of showing music video's - while helping to cement the viability of the medium too. Only Michael could of thought of this move. He was a genius in my mind😊😊😏💖💖💖💖
BILLIE JEAN
1984: Eight Grammy's One Night:
On this night Michael made history when he became the first artist to win eight GRAMMY'S in ONE
NIGHT! at the 26th Annual GRAMMY Awards on February 28, 1984. The King of Pop's haul included Album of the Year for Thriller - for 'Beat It'. Michael is among the artists with the most GRAMMY's won in the 80' with 11 Grammy's
THRILLER    BEAT IT
1984: Hollywood Walk Of Fame X2:
Michael became the first celebrity to have two Hollywood Stars in the same category on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Before receiving a recording star as a solo artist, he earned his name in cement as part of the Jacksons - previously known as the Jackson 5 in 1980.
1988: Grammy Solo Performance Debut:
Michael made his solo Grammy stage debut on the 30th Annual GRAMMY Awards, which took
place in New York on March 2, 1988. It was Arguably one of the greatest performances in Grammy history. Michael performed a medley featuring 'The Way You Make Me Feel' & 'Man In The Mirror.'
The Way YOU Make Me Feel     Man in the Mirror
1993:Grammy Legend Award:
To this date only 15 individuals have been awarded the prestigious GRAMMY Legend Award
This is a recording Academy special Merit Award that is presented to individuals or groups for ongoing contributions and influence in the recording field. And of course our beloved Michael became the 10th individual to earn this honor in 1993.
1997:The Jackson 5 enter the Rock Hall of fame:
Michael Jackson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the first time as part of the Jackson 5 with his brothers Jackie Jackson, Jermaine Jackson, Marlon Jackson and Tito Jackson. He was later inducted as a solo artist in 2001
2009: The year of Michael passing/2.6 Million Downloads were sold
I don't really know what that means I hope it means that so many folks morn the lost of this beautiful human being that they had to have a piece of his music to help with the pain of the lost.
Anyway in the week that followed Michael's death. IN Death Michael became the first artist to sell more that a 1 million digital tracks in one week. His music sold 2.6 million tracks only a week or so after his passing. Michael also became the first artist to have the first three best-selling albums in the US. Two weeks later after his death. Michael became the first artist to have 6 of the 10 best selling albums after death. This is odd. however, watching Michael from afar since I was 10 and I am only 2 years younger than him. His kind soul would hope the sells would go to his children, family and his causes. And for that I pray that they have on this 7th anniversary of his death.
Wendy..💖❤✨🎶🎶
2014:Michael Makes History ... Again in death
Well, on May 21, 2014 Michael Jackson became the first artist in history to score a Top 10 on the
Billboard Hot 100 in five different decades when 'Love Never Felt So Good' - from his posthumous release, Xscape - reached No. 9
Now at 2016, my beloved Michael is still very present in my live as you can see in this post. I have given you many links and there are so many other video's too. so for now I am going to put up some of my favorite video's movie kind and music kind and a few photo's to honor the man the kind gentle man of music that will for ever be in our hearts and souls.. love and light Wendy
